Procedure for Submitting Proposals

Six major research topics (in order of priority):

1. Issues related to plant supply and propagation (ACTION 3.2 in CB SAV STRATEGY)
2. Evaluating new equipment and techniques for SAV planting
3. Use of seeds and seedlings as planting material
4. Improving site selection criteria: Habitat requirements other than light (e.g., sediments, wave energy)
5. Role of interspecific competition in restoration success

Proposals for projects that fall under one or more of the six research areas identified above will be accepted through our Broad Agency Anouncement process. For more information, please refer to the web site at: http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract/docs/FY2008.BAA.pdf

Proposals should be submitted under the topic area EL-26 Wetlands Restoration, Protection, and Creation. The technical POC should be listed as Deborah J. Shafer, Research Marine Biologist.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 15 February 2010.
